JargonSpy Highlights 'Why Lean and Agile Go Together'

In his January 12 JargonSpy column, Dan Woods discusses the attributes of Lean manufacturing and Agile software development, and says that these two methodologies are starting to merge.

For the column, Woods interviewed Ryan Martens, CTO of Rally Software, a leading vendor of software and training services to support adoption of Agile development, and attended a presentation given by Bruce Eckfeldt, the founder of Cyrus Innovation, an Agile training company, who detailed various methods of tracking progress of Agile projects.

What Woods found was that practitioners of Agile are starting to use aspects of Lean in their software development processes.

To learn more about both Lean and Agile, and to see why Woods thinks "Agile seems to be changing for the better by adopting Lean thinking in a large way," go to the column here.
