PC World Article on SAP, EPM, Oracle Resonates with 'Driven to Perform'

PC World's Business Center site has an article titled 'SAP Making EPM Push Against Oracle' that touches on a subject covered in 'Driven to Perform.'

The article talks about CKE Restaurants' move from Oracle's Hyperion software to SAP's BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation product.

According to the article, "CKE [intends to] expand its use of EPM to about 200 more users, including regional managers who oversee about five stores apiece. The SAP product uses an Excel interface, which meant training them wouldn't be a significant issue. 'They're business managers, not financial analysts, so the [tool's ease of use] was important,'" said CKE's CTO Tom Lindblom.

'Driven to Perform', published by Evolved Technologist, speaks to this very point. Enterprise performance management can be used effectively by all business managers within an organization, no matter what department they work in.
